Rosemary Foster, 64, of Penfield died at 11:35 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 5, 2010) at Provena Covenant Medical Center in Urbana after a 2 year battle with cancer.

She was born on July 31, 1946 in Champaign to Willard and Mary Ellen Zimmerman Stevenson. Survivors include two sons, David (Christie) Foster of Armstrong and Kevin Foster of Armstrong; one daughter, Kate (Larry) Schwing of Ludlow and one grandchild, Kaelyn Grace Schwing.

She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Robert Brandow.

Rosemary enjoyed her family, singing, cooking, sewing, quilting, & doing whatever she could to help others. She grew up in Penfield and was a lifetime member of the Penfield United Methodist Church. She became a member of the Gifford United Methodist Church when the Penfield church closed. She was a member of the Penfield Quilters. She retired from the Champaign Couny Housing Authority after close to 20 years of service. She was a member of many bands over the years; most recently the Cowboy Church Band.
