Rodgers was a native of Palo Alto, Calif., and a resident of Mobile. He was a concrete finisher in the construction business.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Rodgers of Mobile; three daughters, Thea Douglas and Jamie Burke, both of Mobile, and Erica Allen of Hartselle, Ala.; four sons, Tony Dixon, Travis Dixon, Tracy Gavin and Eric Blackmon, all of Mobile; his mother, Dorothy Rodgers; his father, Paul Rodgers; and his stepmother, Leigh Rodgers, all of Saraland; nine brothers; nine sisters; and several grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral at St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church on Broad Street. Burial will follow in Bailey Cemetery in Saraland.
Arrangements are being made by Reese Funeral Home in Prichard.
