CAMPBELL - In loving memory of my dear husband and my father, Private Alexander Fairweather Campbell who died of broncho pneumonia at Abbeyville, France on 12th November, 1918
"Yes again we hope to meet him,
when the day of life has fled
thou in heaven once more to greet him
where no farewell tears are shed"
Inserted by his sorrowing widow & little daughter Jessie
-----------
"Gone to his rest through the pathway of duty,
giving his life that others might live
such are the words on the tablet of beauty
in letters immortal, in honour to live"
-----------
"Sleep on dear son, in a far off land
in a grave we'll never see,
as long as life and memory last
we will remember thee"
