Cyclist. Born in Le Cannet, France, he was best known for being a world class a road racing cyclist. In the early 1930s, he first gained attention when he won the Grand Prix Wolber. In 1934, he gained International notice when he took the winner stages 7, 9, 11 and 18 at the Tour de France mountain classifications. He went on to appear in and place no less then as 5th in winner classifications in four Tour de Frances (1934-35, 1939 and 1947). He also won the Circuit du Midi in 1943 and the Grand Prix de la République in 1946.
