Obituary
Windsor and Richmond Gazette (NSW : 1888 - 1961) Fri 9 Aug 1918
Lance Corporal Edgar William Armour, who was killed in action in France on July 5 1918 belonged to the 4th Pioneer Battalion and was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. William Armour of Windsor. He was only 19 years of age, and enlisted some 12 months ago. Edgar was a fine lad, just budding into manhood when he went to fight for King and Country. He was extremely popular in his native town of Windsor, and the deepest sympathy is felt for the parents in their irreparable loss.
