Transferred to the 54th Battalion, as Private, at Tel-el-Kebir on the 14th of February 1916.

Promoted to Corporal on the 2nd of August 1916.

Promoted again to Sergeant on the 5th of January 1918 in the field in France.

Served in France.

Last unit was the 54th Battalion.
