On 13 Oct 1917, after his New Zealand service, Rifleman Kinzett sailed from Wellington on His Majesty's New Zealand Transport No. 93 'Corinthic', arriving in Liverpool, England on 8 Dec. He marched into the Brockton Camp the next day. On 5 May 1918, he sailed for France arriving at Etaples on 7 May. On 12 May, he was posted to 'B' Company, 1st Battalion, N.Z. Rifle Brigade. He was reported 'Killed in Action' eight days later.
