He enlisted in the Army on October 19, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was noted as being employed in the manufacture of miscellaneous products and also as Single, without dependents.

Harry was "Killed In Action" when he was scouting the perimeter of a hill that was held by a German machine gun nest in France during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Harry also has a "Cenotaph" in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, Maryland.
