MRS. DOROTHY BROTHERTON

Mrs. Dorothy BROTHERTON passed away yesterday afternoon at her home on Eighth street, after having been in frail health for several years, the result of a stroke of apoplexy. As Miss Dorothy BROWN, she came to Steamboat Springs in 1900 from Davenport, Iowa, and a few years later she became the wife of Walter C. BROTHERTON. A daughter was born to her in 1906, but the child lived only a few months. During recent years Mrs. BROTHERTON had made her home with a sister, at Colorado Springs, but she returned here last June, preferring to reside in Steamboat Springs.

Deceased is survived by two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Ada SHANO of Colorado Springs; Mrs. Walter SPENCER, formerly of Craig and now residing at Glenwood Springs, and Albert BROWN, of Girard, Kansas. Mrs. SPENCER arrived on today's train to be present at the funeral, for which arrangements have not yet been completed.
