Private George Agar enlisted with the 96th Battalion at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on December 14, 1915. Posted to France with the 15th Battalion on April 21, 1917 and assigned to D Company. On July 20, 1917 he was seriously wounded by shrapnel in the chest and both legs near Loos, France. His brother James carried him out of the line to the 58th Casualty Clearing Station, where he died four days later.
