Gladys Alma BOSTOCK, resident of Routt County since 1937, passed away in the Grand Junction Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colo. on April 2, 1972. She was 69 years old at the time of her death.
Born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mert FISCUS on March 22, 1903 in Alma, Nebraska, she came to Colorado in 1917. On March 1, 1922, she was married to Delbert BOSTOCK in Fort Morgan, Colorado. She devoted her life to being a housewife and mother.
Surviving are her widower, Delbert; one son, Dale BOSTOCK of Steamboat; two daughters, Ardis BROOKSHIRE of Steamboat and Avis BUTLER of Greeley, Colorado; five brothers, Frank FISCUS of Denver, Colorado, Wilbur FISCUS of Brush, Colorado and Willard FISCUS of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; two sisters, Alice BARTLETT of Kalispell, Montana, and Syliba BENNETT of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; seven grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
Active for a number of years in the Women's Society of Christian Service of the Methodist Church she became inactive at the time of her illness which has lasted since 1966.
Services conducted by the Rev. Riley GRANT of the United Methodist Church, were held at the Root Mortuary Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 1972. Interment was in the Steamboat Springs cemetery.
Donald Combs, accompanied by Romaine Mahaffey, sang, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset."
Pallbearers wee Dennis HARCH, James BROOKSHIRE, Gary BOSTOCK, Alan HARSH, Timothy HARSH, Troy BROOKSHIRE and Thomas THOMPSON.
