Graveside services for M.D. Maples, 78, resident of Graham were officiated by Rev. R.J. LaPrade. Mr. Maples had been a resident of Young County for several years. He was living with his daughter, Mrs. Clara Purselley, at the time of his death.

Survived by daughter - Mrs. Purselley; one son - Joe Maples of Graham; he is also survived by four other children, residents of Texas, and Arkansas, where Mr. Maples was born.
