Mr. Kelley was the son of baseball great, Joe Kelley and Margaret Mahon - Kelley. He was a graduate of Colgate University. He retired from the Association of American Railroads in 1968 as its military transportation director. He was a member of the Traffic Club of Washington, D.C.. His wife was Mary Georgina Robertson - Kelley whom he married in Ohio in 1929. They had two children, a daughter and a son. Mr. Kelley served in the United States Army in France during World WarI. He was a devout member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Silver Spring, Maryland until the time of his death.
