The news was received last week that Private Leonard H. Weston. who was serving with the 3rd Reinforcements to the 10th Battalion, had been killed in action on the Gallipoli Peninsula on July 6. Private Weston was only 21 years of age. He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Weston, of Black Rock, and was well known and highly respected on the West Coast. He was one of the first to enlist from that district.
