Husband of Jane A. Robbins who resided in San Andreas, California.

Edward served as a First Lieutenant & Pilot on B-24J "Bar Fly" #42-100248, 409th Bomber Squadron, 93th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Holt County, Missouri prior to the war.

Edward was "Killed In Action" when his B-24, while returning from a bombing run over Pforzheim, Germany, was hit by enemy flak and crashed near Reims, France during the war. He was awarded the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Purple Heart.

Edward was interred, side by side, with four other members of his crew here at the Epinal American Cemetery. T/Sgt McCallen, S/Sgt Wojciechowski, S/Sgt Speier, and 1st Lt. Wagner.
