Kenneth was "Killed In Action" when his B-17, while returning from a bombing run in the Hispano/Suisa complex, was hit by enemy ground anti-aircraft fire and crashed in Central Paris, France during the war.
He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
He was interred, side by side, with six other members of his crew here at the Epinal American Cemetery.
