He resided in Jackson County, Georgia prior to the war.
He enlisted in the Army on March 4, 1943 at Fort McPherson, Atlanta, Georgia. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Farm Hand and also as Single, without dependents.
Jack was "Killed In Action" in France during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.
