Edwin served as a Chaplain & First Lieutenant, 1st Battalion, 254th Infantry Regiment, 63rd Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Missouri prior to the war.

He entered the service in May, 1944 and trained at the United States Army Chaplain School at Camp Van Dorn, Mississippi. He was transferred overseas on November 20, 1944.

Edwin was "Killed In Action" on the first day of the Battle of the Colmar Pocket in France during the war. He was awarded the "Bronze Star" and the Purple Heart.

His records show he was married with two children and of the North Baptist Denomination.
