Pvt. Donald K. Kenneson Loses life in France
LOWELL - Pvt. Donald K. Kenneson, U.S. Army Infantry, 203 Chestnut Street, Waltham was killed in action somewhere in France on Feb. 5, according to a war department telegram received by his mother Mrs. Marie R. Kenneson.
Pvt. Kenesson who would have celebrated his 19th birthday on Feb. 20 was graduated from Waltham high school with the class of 1943. He was employed by the New England Mica Co. until his induction in June 1944. He received his basic training in Camp Blanding, Fla., and left for overseas duty in January.
His mother, and father the late Fred A. Kenneson, are former residents of Lowell. Private Kenneson leaves two sisters, Waltham residents and two brothers serving in the armed forces.
Pvt. Fred J. Kenneson who fought in France for some time with a tank destoyer unit, is now receiving hospitalization in England. A second brother, Coxswain Robert A. Kenneson USN is stationned in this country.
