Failed to return (FTR) mission to bomb Juvisy, France in Handley Page Halifax III MZ577 on 7-Jun-44; hit by flak, only two of the five crew escaped the doomed aircraft. Killed in Action (KIA) Missing Aircrew Report 8713. Awarded Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and Purple Heart [Posthumously].
