Son of Joseph Dube who resided in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Joseph served as a Technical Sergeant & Top Turret Gunner on B-17F “Windy City Challenger” (#42-3049), 422nd Bomber Squadron, 305th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on July 1, 1942 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was noted as being employed as a Textile Weaver and also as Single, without dependents.

Joseph was "Killed In Action" when his B-17, while on a mission over Villacoublay, France, has attacked and shot down by two German FW-190 and crashed during the war. Four other airmen were able to parachute out. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
