Graveside service for Dora Maddox, 89, Aztec, will be held at 11am Wednesday at the Aztec Cemetery with the Rev. Ed. Spence officiating. There will be a memorial service at 4pm Wednesday at the Aztec Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Maddox died Saturday at her home. She was a life time resident of the community. She was a charter member of the Aztec Presbyterian Church and Aztec Chapter 53. She was the daughter of a pioneer family, G. W. and Ella Ann McCoy. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Charles (Ella Ann) Spargo of Aztec; a brother, allen McCoy; and a sister, Lula Rathjen. There are two grandchildren, Bill Spargo of Aztec and Mrs. Marlen Davenport of Wichita, Kan., and three great grandchildren, Ron and Shawn Davenport and Tatasha Spargo. Pallbearers will be Jack Scott, Fred Crum, Andy Buyok, Sandy Scott, Tom Crum and Bill Hickman. Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church or Alturian Library. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Basin Mortuary.
