Sallie Mae Stell was born Feb. 8, 1872, daughter of John T.H. Stell and Virginia Emily (Helm) Stell. In their Stell family, she is the sister of Mary Lee (1865), George Dennis (1867), James William Stell (1870), Nannie M. (1877), Ruth M. (1880), Emily Catherine (1884) and John Robert (1886) Stell.

On November 19, 1890, she married Thomas "Tom" Wooten Eubank in Lamar County, TX. The children of their Eubank family included Melvin Newton (1891); Lillie May (1895); Myrtle Elizabeth (1898); Katie Earl (1901) and Nora Thomas (1905) Eubank.

On Wednesday, August 12, 1942, widow Sallie M. (Stell) Eubank, age 70, passed away at 5:11 a.m. in Paris, TX, at her home, 349 E. Polk St. where she had been ill for some time. The funeral service was held on Thursday at 3:30 p. m. in Paris at Manton-Fry Funeral Home by Dr. A. B. White of First Baptist Church with interment made in Evergreen Cemetery, Section 23-19-03, Paris, Lamar County, Texas.
