Second wife of Solomon D. Menser. They married Feb 16, 1869, in Graves County, KY., and had five children: John Oliver, Delila Susan, William David, Ulysses Grant and James Garfield. Some records indicate there were three other children either stillborn or died very young. James was killed in a hunting accident when he was about 17 years old.
After Solomon died in 1897, Sarah, the two younger sons, daughter, Delila, and her three children all came to Garland County, AR,where other relatives were living.
