Son of Frank Lentini. His mother's first name is currently unknown however her maiden name was "Macili".

Husband of Elva del Grosso Lentini.

Joseph, who resided at 601 North Scott Street, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a Sergeant with the 10th Mountain Division, Fifth Army, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on July 15, 1941, prior to the war, in Trenton, New Jersey. He was noted as as being employed as a Barber and also as being Single, without dependents at the time of his enlistment.

He was "Killed In Action" in Northern Italy during the war.

He had served in the Army for three years and eight months at the time of his death and he was awarded a Purple Heart.
