Second Lieutenant, 741st Bomb Squadron, 455th Bomb Group, U.S. Army Air Forces, World War II.


Bombardier aboard B-24H Liberator #42-64456.

He was shot down on a bombing mission over Porto Santo Stefano, Italy, during World War II.


The aircraft was hit by anti-aircraft artillery flak and banked over and collided with

B-24H #41-29290 and both aircraft plummeted to earth.


Of the ten-man crew, only Lieutenant Laws was able to parachute, but he was shot by Axis forces on the ground.


The crew KIA were:

1st Lt. Douglas S Rezin, Co-pilot

2nd Lt. Kels Laws, Bombardier
