LOCAL MAN'S NEPHEW LISTED AS MISSING

Lt. William E. McCallister, nephew of C.C. Beck, 487 23rd avenue north, and brother of Frank McCallister, formerly of this city, is missing in action since April over Czechoslovakia, relatives here have been informed.

Overseas since March, McCallister was believed to have been flying his first mission as a B-17 pilot when he failed to return to an Eighth Air force base in England. His mother is Mrs. W.O. McCallister, Spartanburg, S.C.
