LT. HAGER DIED ON FLIGHT IN GERMANY: IRONWOOD ARMY AIR FORCE PILOT WAS FIRST REPORTED MISSING
Second Lieutenant Frank James Hager, 28, of Ironwood, was killed on a flight mission over Munich, Germany, on October 4, according to information received here by his wife from the war department this morning. He was previously reported missing on that flight.

Lt. Hager was born in Ironwood on November 12, 1916. He graduated at Luther L. Wright high school and Carroll College and attended the University of Minnesota for one year.

He enlisted in October, 1942, entered service in January, 1943 and went overseas last August. He was a pilot in the army air forces.

Surviving are his wife, and his mother, Mrs. F.J. Hager Sr., of 332 Douglas Boulevard.
