A MISSING PILOT IS DEAD

Raid in Germany Nov. 30 Fatal to Lieut. Gerald Farris

Lieut. Gerald H. Faarris, who has been reported missing, was killed in a raid over Merceberg, Germany, November 30, his wife, Mrs. Betty Farris, and son, Larry Lee Farris, 953 Sandusky avenue, Kansas City, Kansas, have been notified.
Lieutenant Farris enlisted in the air corps in 1942. He had been awarded the Air Medal and three Oak Leaf Clusters. He was a graduate of Washington Rural high school and an employee of Armour & Co.
He also leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Farris, 3027 North Thirty-first street, Kansas City, Kansas, and two brothers, Pfc. Kenneth Farris, in Germany, and Eldon Farris, seaman in the South Pacific.
