Vincent served as a Staff Sergeant & Ball Turret Gunner on B-17F "Calamity Jane" (#42-3199), 524th Bomber Squadron, 379th Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Rockland County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on August 12, 1942 at Fort Jay, Governor's Island, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Office Clerk and also as Single, with dependents.

Vincent was "Killed In Action" when the B-17 he was on was hit by enemy flak and crashed East of Cologne, Germany during the war. He was awarded the Air Medal and a Purple Heart with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster.
