Son of John Blais who resided in Chicago, Illinois.

Edmond served as a Staff Sergeant & Tail Gunner on B-17F #42-30867, 510th Bomber Squadron, 351st Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Erie County, New York prior to the war.

Edmond was "Killed In Action" when his B-17 was attacked by German Aircraft and crashed on Hallig Hooge Island, southwest of Sylt, Germany during the war. He was awarded the Air Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster and the Purple Heart.
