Son of William Bartolotta who resided in Rochester, New York.

Charles served as a Private in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided 1467 Clifford Avenue, Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on April 13, 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Driver and also as Single, without dependents.

He "Died Of Wounds" in a German prison camp where he had been held since Dec. 1944.

He was awarded a "Bronze Star" and the Purple Heart.
