Born to Jesse and Mary Davidson in Olney, Illinois on the 20th of November 1911. He was the youngest of 7 children.
John lost his mother at age 6 years old. His two older sisters raised him. He married Elizabeth Pflugmacher on Sept 26, 1936 in Marion, Ind. John and Elizabeth had one daughter, Mary Louise in November of 1941. He was drafted Jan. 1944 and took his basic training at Camp Blanding,Fla was home on leave on D-Day, sent to England and then to France. Killed on Aug 8, 1944 and is buried in Brittany American Cemetery, St James France.
