On Wednesday, May 22, 1996, of Rockville, Md., beloved husband of Ruth Irene; loving father of Robert J. Jr., Jane A. Cochrane, Jean M. Trahan, Ellen L. German and Mary Ruth Wall; brother of Osborne Cochrane and Dorothea Branson.

Also survived by 13 grandchildren; 14 great grand-children; and one great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Devol Funeral Home, 10 East Deer Park Drive, Gaithersburg, Md. on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Rockville, Md. on Saturday, May 25, at 11:15 a.m. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
