Agnes L. "Patty" MacLeod went to be with the Lord at home with her family and caregivers by her side on Aug. 6, 2010.
She was born on Oct. 4, 1915 in Haverhill, N.H., the daughter of George and Nellie Bunker.
Patty and her husband, Murdo, owned and operated a dairy farm in Corinth for 55 years. After retiring they moved to Essex to be close to their family.
Patty was very active in her church and taught Good News Club for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Patty is survived by her two daughters, Norma Haglund and fiance, Andre Lussier, of Essex and Jean and fiance, Bill Jenks, of Essex; five grandchildren, Maria Gratton and husband, Gary, of Colchester, Marcia Collin and husband, Chris, of Richmond, Charles Haglund and fiancee, Lisa Bernier, of Colchester, Murdo Sargent and wife, Sheila, of Essex, and D.J. Sargent of Jericho; thirteen great-grandchildren, Heather Ploof and husband, Mark, of Colchester, Allen, Ashley, Adam H., Alexis, Charlize, Hunter, Alyssa, Sean, Mikayla, Autumn, Adam S. and Murdo James Junior; and one great-great-granddaughter, Hailey Ploof.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Murdo, in 2001; a son, William, in 1939; and a son-in-law, David Sargent, in 1994.
Visiting hours will be Monday, Aug. 9, 2010 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 39 Morgan Parkway, Williston. Funeral service will follow.
Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery, Barre Town. Arrangements in care of Corbin & Palmer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 9 Pleasant St., Essex Junction.
