Milton was the son of Grover C. Walston and Mary Etta Featherstone of Anderson Co., TX. He was the grandson of James Walston and Rebecca Kolb.

He served in the U.S. Army in North Africa, Sicily and Italy in Company A, 755 Tank Battalion. In intense combat action at Casale Monferrato, Italy, Milton was wounded and died from combat wounds on Feb 1, 1944. Service No. 38054275.

He was Buried at Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial in Italy.
