Edmond served as a Private First Class, 168th Infantry Regiment, 34th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Strafford County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on November 27, 1942 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in warehousing and also as Single, with dependents.

Edmond was declared "Missing In Action" near Rome, Italy during the war.

He was awarded the "Bronze Star" and the Purple Heart.
