Leo served as a Private First Class, 504th Parachute Infantry Regt, 82nd Airborne Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire & was a member of the New Hampshire National Guard prior to the war.

His National Guard unit was called into full time active Army service on February 24, 1941, prior to the war, from Manchester, New Hampshire. He was noted, at that time, as being employed in the manufacture of boots and shoes and also as Single, without dependents.

Leo "Died Of Wounds" received in action in Italy during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Leo also has a "Cenotaph" in the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester, New Hampshire with his parents.
