Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Cavanaugh, of Voorhies, were notified by the Navy department in Washington a few days ago that their son, Emmett, seaman 1/c, had been reported missing in action. No other information was given in the telegram, which promised to report more details when received. The sailor is 30 years old, and is serving on a destroyer, said to have been in the Mediterranean area. He enlisted April 28, 1942. He has a brother, Jack in the Army. The brothers met somewhere overseas on Easter Sunday, the parents have learned.
