Son of George A. Brouillette & Albertine S. Brouillette who resided in Rhode Island.

Normand served as a Technical Sergeant and Engineer / Gunner on B-24H #42-78193, 737th Bomber Squadron, 454th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Providence County, Rhode Island prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on October 26, 1942 in Providence, Rhode Island. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the manufacture of textiles and also as Single, without dependents.

B-24H #42-78193 took off from San Giovanni Air Base, Italy on a bombing mission over Genoa, Italy. The last time they were sighted was off the coast of Anzio, Italy and they were having engine trouble. It is believed that they crashed into the sea.

Normand was declared "Missing In Action" when his B-24 Bomber did not return to its base in Italy during the war.

He was awarded an Air Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster and the Purple Heart.
