He flew in B-29 #42-65203, which was lost on its trip from the US to India on September 18, 1944. The plane left Natal, Brazil for Accra, Gold Coast and never showed up at its destination. He and the entire crew of ten men were declared missing at that time and declared dead on October 27, 1948. Missing Air Crew report 8525.
