Christine served as a First Lieutenant, Nurse & Passenger on C-47A #43-15086, 100th Troop Carrier Squadron, 441st Troop Carrier Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
She was normally assigned to the 816th Medical Air Evacuation Squadron.
She resided in Wayne County, Michigan prior to the war.
Christine was "Killed In Action" when the C-47A she was on in a flight from France to Germany on a resupply and evacuation mission, crashed due to bad weather in Germany during the war. There was a formation of fourteen planes and they all turned back except for this one C-47.
She was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
