Son of Louis Creatore who resided in Liverpool, New York.

John served as a Technical Sergeant & Engineer / Gunner on B-17F #42-5072, 367th Bomber Squadron, 306th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in Onondaga County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on November 21, 1941, prior to the war, in Syracuse, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Hospital Attendant and also as Single, without dependents.

John was "Killed In Action" when his B-17 was shot down by German Fighters and crashed near their target at Erla Works, Antwerp, Belgium during the war.

He was awarded an Air Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster and the Purple Heart.
