First Lieutenant Norman L Weider, New York, Service Number O-795530, served as co-pilot on B-17 Flying Fortresses with the 548th Bomb Squadron, 385th Bomb Group. On 29 Nov 1943, while returning from a mission to Bremen, Germany, in B-17 #42-37874, called 'Who Dat - Ding Bat, his aircraft ran out of fuel and crashed at Tessel Island, Holland. There were no survivors.
