Henry Thompson Reported Missing
Lt. Henry L. Thompson, a Mustang fighter pilot stationed in England, is missing somewhere in the European theater, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Thompson of Tyler, were informed today by the War Department. He has been missing since Feb. 7, the message said.
Lieutenant Thompson enlisted in the Air Corps in 1942 after graduating from Tyler High School in 1936 and from Cornell University in 1940. After leaving Cornell he returned to Tyler and was with his father in the Rosemont Nurseries here before enlisting.
His brother, Lt. Delbert Thompson, is also with the Air Corps in England and the brothers met there a few weeks ago.
