Evan Mortensen dies of stroke
Evan E. Mortensen, 81, 41 East Wilson Ave, Murray died at home, August 2, 1975.
He was born Sept. 7, 1893 at Spring City to Marinum and Mary Matson Mortensen. Married Grace Bergen, October 16, 1915 West Jordan. He was a boiler maker U.S. Smelting and Refining Company. Retired in 1958. Member of the LDS Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles, S.L. Fish and Game Assn.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Mrs. Sherm (Virginia) Wright, Salt Lake City; Mrs. LaRue (Hamblin), Murray, 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sisters, Mrs. Royal (Elva) Allred, Spring City; Mrs. Virt (Olive) Barney, Delta. Funeral services were held Wednesday noon Murray. Burial was in the Murray City Cemetery.
