Harold served as a Staff Sergeant & Right Waist Gunner on B-24H "Little Agnes" #42-52178, 735th Bomber Squadron, 453rd Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Strafford County, New Hampshire prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 19, 1941 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Architect and also as Single, without dependents.

B-24H #42-52178, while taking off in England, experienced engine trouble and crashed which caused their 2 500lb bombs to exploded.

Harold was "Killed In Action" in this crash during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
