Son of Peter Kracyla and Rose Pazenicyna Kracyla.

Henry, who resided at 1231 North Heald Street, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a Sergeant and Left Waist Gunner on B-24H "Lady From Bristol" (#42-52100), 714th Bomber Squadron, 448th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on January 20, 1943 in Camden, New Jersey. He was noted as being employed as an Electrician and also as Single, without dependents.

Henry was declared "Missing In Action" when his bomber crashed into the English Channel returning from a raid over Germany.

He had served in the Air Force for one year and one month at the time of his death and was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
