His parents were Alvin Norton Hulse and Pauline Oppermann. Jack had one sister, Jane; he was unmarried at the time of his death.

Son of Alvin Norton and Pauline (Oppermann) Hulse. B-17 Bombardier assigned to 755th Bomb Sqn, 458th Bomb Grp, 8th AF. Lt Neil Peters crew. 5 x combat missions. Ditched in B-24H 41-29331 'Blondie's Folly'; Mission to Friedrichshafen, 16-Mar-44; Forced to ditch in the Channel after fighters severely damaged A/C. Baled out mid channel. Killed in Action (KIA). - Awarded Air Medal, Purple Heart posthumously.

Suggested edit: Although Jack's mini-bio indicates he was unmarried at the time of his death, he had married in 1942 and, as I've never found any record of divorce, I believe he and Betty were still married at the time of his death in 1944.
