DEATH: From the Wisconsin State Journal: 20 June 1944:
Clarence Graimm, Jr. Killed in Action
Tech Sgt. Clarence "Bud" Grimm, Jr., 20 was killed in action June 4, over England, the war department informed his wife, 2710 Dahle St., Monday night.
The sergeant was engineer and top turret gunner on a B - 24 Liberator bomber and had been overseas since Apr. 23.
Survivors are his wife; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Grimm, Sr., 817 1/2 Unersity Ave.; two brothers, Master Sgt. James, who is enroute from California to Camp Ellice, Ill., and William at home, and a sister, Virginia, nurse at Wisconsin General hospital.
Sgt Grimm attended Blessed Sacrament graded shool and graduted from West High School. Entering the army forces on Feb 3, 1942, he trained as an air mechanic at Kessler Field, Miss., and graduated from serial gunnery school at Harlingen, Tex. Before going overseas, he had additional training at the Tusson, Ariz., and Alamogorodo, N. M., air fields.
